Meet our team

Our people are central to our mission to fix the digital divide. We’re deeply invested in our team and in turn, our team make us what we are. As a staff-led charity, every employee has a say in how Good Things Foundation is run.

Senior Management

Our Senior Management team works to ensure we can achieve our ambitious mission of living in a world where everyone can benefit from digital.

Working at Good Things Foundation is full of purpose - we're mission-led, and fixing the digital divide runs through the whole organisation. We work hard to deliver impact for the millions of excluded people and the thousands of community partner hubs. And we mix this with being open, and friendly, positive and supportive of one another. I get stopped in the street by former staff members who want to tell me that working at Good Things was the best job of their lives. It makes me proud of our culture and of all the amazing people who work with us.

Helen Milner, Group Chief Executive

Communications, Campaigns and Advocacy

Our Communications, Campaigns and Advocacy team works to tell the stories of the people we support and raise awareness of the work we’re doing to help fix the digital divide.

“The best thing about working at Good Things is the supportive culture. I’m proud to say that Good Things attracts good people - teammates who are passionate about fixing the digital divide - which shines through in all we do. Our work is varied, fast-paced and interesting - and everyone finishes the working week knowing that they have made a difference, for the better.”

Natasha Bright-Wray, Associate Director Communications, Campaigns and Advocacy

Community Engagement and Experience

Our Community Engagement and Experience team works with the National Digital Inclusion Network to develop training, learning and development materials to help community organisations to deliver impact at scale.

“I feel privileged to work with such a great team of supportive, collaborative people at Good Things. There’s never a dull moment as we strive to provide the best possible support for people who can’t afford access to the internet or who lack the skills to use it. What’s more I’m constantly inspired by the dedication and innovation that I see from members of the National Digital Inclusion Network who are all working so hard to fix the digital divide in their communities.”

Digital Inclusion Delivery - Network, Recruitment and Activation

Our Network, Recruitment and Activation team makes sure that we're doing whatever we can to help our community partners to reach and support the hardest to reach in society.

I’ve been at Good Things for over a decade and it’s a great place to work - mission led, impact driven, supportive and has a positive culture. I’m empowered to lead my team and feel lucky to work with such a collaborative group of colleagues. It’s a privilege to be able to support the National Digital Inclusion Network and hearing about their impact on the ground is one of my favourite things of my role.”

“Working in the Digital Inclusion Delivery team is incredibly rewarding. Our mission to fix the digital divide and empower individuals to gain digital skills is at the heart of everything we do. Everyday, we collaborate with a diverse range of organisations in the heart of local communities to ensure that everyone, regardless of their background or circumstances, has the skills and access to benefit from the digital world. The challenges can be tough, but seeing the impact of our work is so fulfilling. Watching people gain confidence online, access important services, and improve their lives because of what we do is truly motivating. Supporting the work of the National Digital Inclusion Network and seeing the real difference they make in people’s lives makes every effort feel worthwhile.”

“Working for Good Things Foundation doesn’t feel like coming to work. I work with an incredible team who are friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about our mission and it shows in the results we achieve. As corny as it sounds we really do do Good Things!”

Partnerships and Fundraising

Our Partnerships and Fundraising team seek out exciting funding and partnership opportunities for us and the National Digital Inclusion Network; partnerships that will enable us to fix the digital divide - for good.

“I love working in our busy Partnerships and Fundraising Team at Good Things! We work alongside people from businesses who are our brilliant Strategic Partners and supporters. We engage others who can donate devices or funding, so we can impact even more digitally excluded people. To do this, we build relationships with potential partners, attending and speaking at events and conferences, letting many people know about our work and mission. We’re a small (but mighty!) team, so we often work closely with others in the organisation, such as our Chief Executive, Helen, or our colleagues in Communications and Advocacy and Research and Data Insights teams, organising things like our annual Impact Review launch, taking place at the House of Lords.”

Angela Ellis, Interim Head of Partnerships and Funding:

Together we help thousands of people to get online in a way that is right for them. Through our work we can see that this is helping people to build their skills, feel more safe and confident which ultimately impacts on wellbeing, health and their financial situation."
