What does it mean to be part of the National Digital Inclusion Network?
Learn more about how we support the National Digital Inclusion Network, where being a member means being a part of the movement that’s fixing the digital divide across the UK. The Network is made up of over 5,000 organisations supporting their local communities with digital inclusion.
These organisations serve as local safe spaces where digitally excluded people can get free support to get connected. Members can offer our digital inclusion services such as free mobile data through the National Databank and beginner digital skills training through Learn My Way.
Members are supported by the team at Good Things to benefit from:
- Digital inclusion grant opportunities from our Fix The Digital Divide Fund
- Peer-to-peer networking with support from a Network Ambassador
- Regular online training sessions, co-delivered by experienced members
- Access to free digital inclusion services

What's happening in the Network

Online safety for organisations supporting parents and carers
This webinar, hosted by Internet Matters, provided valuable insights and practical tips to support children's online safety.
Digital Inclusion Hub drop-in sessions
We hold regular drop-in session for new Network members, or those with a question, to speak with other experienced Hubs.
Digital inclusion in libraries
This forum is for libraries to share successes, spark ideas and seek support from peers for their digital inclusion work.
Digital inclusion grant & funding opportunities
For over 12 years, we’ve enabled thousands of Network members to access grants and funding. These funds have been used to purchase new tech, resource staff, hire venues, arrange external training, and create digital support resources.
We run the Fix The Digital Divide Fund, a grant programme exclusive to Network members. We also collaborate with external partners to offer additional funding opportunities throughout the year.
To apply for a grant, you must be a member of the National Digital Inclusion Network. Please ensure you complete your joining application at least five business days before the deadline of any funding round.

Digital inclusion support is transformational. It gives everyone an equal opportunity to use and benefit from technology and the internet. We want a society where no one is left behind. In our increasingly digital world, this support is critical to make that happen.
Thanks to the National Digital Inclusion Network, hundreds of thousands of people all over the UK have had their lives transformed by digital - safely, affordably, and confidently.
Fix the digital divide by joining the National Digital Inclusion Network
From libraries and community centres to NHS branches and food banks, any organisation can join the Network. They may all be different, but members of the National Digital Inclusion Network have one thing in common - they advocate for digital inclusion and are committed to fixing the digital divide. They help people improve their lives by accessing the internet safely, confidently and affordably.
Without the hard work and local efforts of our Network members, we wouldn’t have been able to reach thousands of digitally excluded individuals who have benefited from our services.

Eligibility check: can your organisation join the Network?
As a registered charity, community interest company, social enterprise, community benefit or cooperative society?
Yes - start your application to join the National Digital Inclusion Network!
As a local authority or NHS Trust?
Local authorities, NHS Trusts and other public services are welcome to join the Network. We recommend when joining making sure to include the name of the particular team or department you are registering as in the organisation name field (e.g. [name] Council - Employment Team)
As an individual, to stay up to date with your work?
The National Digital Inclusion Network is designed for organisations. The best way to stay up to date with our work as an individual is by signing up for our Good Things newsletter.
As a company?
Organisations that work for the benefit of others, not for financial gain, are welcome to join the National Digital Inclusion Network.
We don’t accept applications to join the Network from profit making companies unless they have a clear social purpose, are Community Interest Companies, Social Enterprises or working with Good Things Foundation as strategic partners or financial supporters. As an unincorporated association?
Unincorporated associations are eligible to join the Network, as long as they can provide information about their approach to management and constitution. This will be requested through the onboarding process.
