What is the Minimum Digital Living Standard?

What do people need to feel digitally included?
Members of the public defined the Minimum Digital Living Standard (MDLS) - the national benchmark for being digitally included:
- Accessible internet
- Adequate equipment
- The skills and knowledge people need
On Safer Internet Day, with online safety an ongoing and growing concern, University of Liverpool, Loughborough University and Good Things Foundation with others have launched a new animation explaining why the MDLS helps us to understand what people need, and who is at risk of falling below the standard.
By understanding where people struggle to reach the standard, we are helping policy makers and service providers to understand who needs help and how to help them.
