Digital skills learning guides
We’ve produced a collection of simple, one page guides to help you support people learning digital skills. They can be used by tutors, volunteers or Digital Champions.
What is a learning guide?
Each guide offers a blended learning approach and is aligned with one of the subjects on Learn My Way. They even include activity sheets for you to use as part of the session. This all means that you can spend more time supporting people and less time thinking about how to do it.
Blended learning is where a range of learning approaches are used in a single session for example, discussion, online learning, off-line practice, reflection. It's a great way to provide engaging learning experiences and meet different learning preferences.
How can I use the learning guides?
Our one page learning guides offer an informal way to introduce a subject and promote learning and also include activities you can use to support and reinforce learning to help people build confidence and keep safe online. They also feature discussion topics and “next steps”.
Unlike lesson plans, there are no timings; you can take as long as needed on each part and adapt them as needed. You could even use them as inspiration for developing your own sessions.
